Dr. MacIntyre owns and operates the Adjust Your Health – North (AYH – North) location in Calgary, Alberta where he manages a multidisciplinary team of other Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Physical, and Massage Therapists. Dr. MacIntyre started his clinical healthcare training in 1993 studying Japanese Acupuncture, Shiatsu & Oriental Therapies earning his 2200 hour diploma in 1995. From there he entered Chiropractic college, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic – West in 1999.
Dr. MacIntyre has completed numerous post-secondary specialization courses in soft tissue treatment/management, including all Active Release Techniques® (ART®) courses including the Masters, Biomechanics, Active Palpation/SMFA, Complex Protocols, and Long Tract Nerve Entrapment. He is a member of the ART Ironman Provider Network having participated with the treatment teams at the Canadian IronMan championships and the World IronMan Championships in Kona. Dr. MacIntyre is an instructor with the ART® organization, and travels to teach at courses in both Canada and the USA.
Some of his other training includes NSCA – Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NBCE Diploma in Physical Therapeutics, Sports Nutrition Specialist (SNS), 2200 hour Japanese Acupuncture & Oriental Therapies diploma, Buchberger-12® Shoulder Evaluation & Rehabilitation Course, and Levels 1 & 2 Kinesiotaping®.
Dr. MacIntyre has a passion for teaching; he has been a College/University Instructor in Calgary since 2000 and has been a guest lecturer for various organizations, such as the Co-Operators Insurance Group of Canada and the Alberta Massage Therapist and Wholistic Practitioners Association. He is sought after for his engaging, entertaining teaching style, and as any of his clientele will tell you, Dr. MacIntyre is well known for explanation & educating his patients.
